What the — ?

I usually do not have many negative public comments about patterns. Even if I don't like something, I can often see how someone else would like it. And many patterns that I would never wear look fabulous on other people.

But this sweater from Rowan 43 just seems — well, awful. Knitters work for years to avoid holes and the runner-looking things.

Obviously, I am not the target audience for this sort of thing, but I wonder who is. Why would you knit it on purpose? Why not just take an old sweater and cut holes in it?

Totally agree with you, can only assume that it was designed by someone who either ran out of ideas or really liked the cut up/holey jeans fad.
But then Rowan is known for far out "designs" . . . .

Oh puhleeze! This just seems like someone was trying too hard to be "innovative," or "fashion forward," or whatever other term they use to indicate that the masses just don't get it.

The main problem I have with things like this, is that there are way too many people in the world who *have* to wear things like this, because that's all there is. If they are lucky ...

OK, I could go on, but won't. (Aren't you glad??)

I don't understand this or shooting jeans to make them look old.
